For anyone looking to find a vet who will be continuing to supply L2 vaccines, it is perhaps best to phone the pharmaceutical companies and asking for their stockists near to your own postcode. They do not provide a national list of stockists for public access.
Zoetis UK Customer Services for Vanguard L2 is 0345 300 8034
Virbac UK Customer Services For Canixin L2 is 01359 243243
Does your vet still offer the L2 vaccine, rather than the L4 vaccine?
Following the announcement and withdrawal by MSD of the Nobivac/Canigen L2 vaccines, there is now a need to produce a national list of vets who still carry Lepto 2 vaccines. Both Zoetis and Virbac continue to make their L2 vaccines.
Virbac have confirmed that they will continue to make their Canixin DHPPI/L. The L2 is a liquid suspension, which is on it's own. The DHPPi is a Lyophilisate (powder), which is stored in a seperate vile to the Lepto.
Zoetis have confirmed on 31st March 2025 that they do not plan to discontinue their L2 for the foreseable future
There is a list of vets still offering Lepto 2 vaccine at the bottom of the page. This will be updated as information is received or confirmed
If your vet used Lepto 2 vaccines by Virbac or Zoetis, please complete the form below, or ask your vet to complete the form - so that we can add them to the list of vets only using Lepto 2 vaccine.
I originally asked for dog owners to let me know if their vet still uses Lepto 2, but it came to light that whilst some vets were giving Lepto 2 on request, they were using Lepto 4 by default. So I'd like vets to contact me to confirm that they are only using Lepto 2 and not Lepto 4.
Many thanks for your help
You should specifically ask for Lepto 2 at the following vets, and not just presume that it will be given by default.
